NOTE what I just found as I was writing this description: I found only two 7x50 Marsept binoculars sold at auction on a professional auction site! That's all, for who knows how many years. It's not absolutely perfect, but it is darn close - it's in really great condition. I've never seen one like this example, ever. Usually the body is missing cover pieces, eyeguards are missing, pieces are cracked or missing, corrosion is common, lenses are very dirty or scratched, collimation is way off, case is usually missing or is in terrible condition, etc. ![]() These come up for sale sometimes but they are almost always in /terrible/ condition (search for images of 'Marsept 7x50' to see the usual awful examples you're likely to find!). Mine was /very/ gently used and I think it looks and works great for a binocular that is over half a century old. The Leitz Marsept binoculars I've seen on another site during the last eight years or so look terrible, like they were used in WWII, and some of them probably were, from the looks of them. MY BINOCULAR LOOKS A LOT BETTER, BUT I HAD TO USE IMAGES OF THIS OTHER MARSEPT EXAMPLE SINCE I CAN'T POST MY NORMAL DIGITAL CAMERA IMAGES HERE ON A-MART NOTE: please send a PM to me so I can send up to 28 images of this binocular to you by email. ![]() ***Rare Leitz Wetzlar 7x50 'Marsept' binocular in Excellent condition***
